About

Carole Duebbert is an award-winning photographer with over 25 years experience in her field. Originally from Philadelphia, her studies took her to Germany, where she emersed herself in culture and art. After returning to the United States, Carole landed in San Diego, where she currently resides.

Shortly after moving to San Diego, Carole took up photography, enrolling in black-and-white photography classes at San Diego City College. Her tools were a Pentax K-1000 and a 50mm lens; the Zone System became her bible. Then, with her first look through a macro lense, her life changed forever. "Wow! This is really cool!”

A whole new world of surprises and adventure opened up. From there, Carole began photographing everything in sight: food, jewelry, beads, glass of all sorts, flowers, creating both commercial and fine art images. "It's all fun, it's all a challenge, and it's never boring."

Carole uses light and design to capture the essence of a subject. Each image tells a story, often of mystery and surprise, mood, and sensuality. Carole also loves color, which she expresses especially in her food and florals.
